FAQ
Key things you need to know about participating in The Master Cutler’s Challenge.
Q Are we free to grow the initial £50 investment by any means?
A As long as it’s legal, decent and honest! It could be anything really – use your contacts to collect raffle prizes, sell off that old unwanted stock on eBay, pay entrance fees into a fun run and ask the runners to raise sponsorship for the Challenge…use your ingenuity!
Q Are we free to enter more than one team?
A Yes, but you will only receive one £50 ‘stake’ per organisation. You may, of course, split that £50 stake between many sub-teams!
Q What proof do we need that we raised money within the rules and spirit of the competition?
A The submission form we provide will ask for details of your project. The more you tell us the more likely you are to be a winner. Any skullduggery will rule you out…but, of course, we’ll still accept the money you’ve raised.
Q Will the winner be decided purely on the amount of money raised?
A The overall winner will be the organisation that raises the most, but the judges will also use their experience to consider ingenuity, creativity and entrepreneurship as well, for which there will be a separate award.
Q What will the winner receive?
A A unique trophy will be awarded to the winning team to commemorate their performance, along with the pride and the PR of winning the Challenge.
Q The benefits for St Luke’s and Rotherham Hospices are obvious. What are the benefits for us?
A We hope that The Master Cutler's Challenge appeals to your organisation’s sense of social responsibility and that it enthuses your charitable nature.
