The Challenge
An initial £5,000 has been donated by 3i to kick start this project. One hundred organisations will volunteer to participate in a challenge that puts the fun into fundraising. We hope you will be one of them!
You will be given £50 and have six months to grow it by as much as is legally and ethically possible, all in a good cause.
The challenge will run over a six month period, during which time you will have the opportunity to meet other participants while testing your organisations teamwork, ingenuity and entrepreneurship.
This is ideal opportunity to build the team spirit within your work place - at the same time raising money for St. Luke's and Rotherham hospices patients and families whose lives have been affected by an incurable illness.
You may see The Master Cutler's Challenge as a worthwhile cause, a fun project and an opportunity to network with other regional and local organisations, or a chance to test your creativity and to motivate yourself and your colleagues.
Whatever your reason, get involved now!
"We would like to thank the Challenge organisers for giving us this great way to engage our staff and to develop the team spirit in the company. The 'big team' project engineering activity of our day-to-day business all too often excludes unsung people like the office administrators, but those are precisely the people who have led the way in our Challenge efforts. Along the way, we've learned a lot about what we can and can't do, and we've revealed a few hidden talents and above all we've had great fun. Thanks!"
Jon Stewart, Director at Siemens VAI
"The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work and gained five more."
